at GAB?

The School of The Georgia Ballet is one of Georgia’s most prestigious ballet institutions. Since opening, the school has been a foundation of classical ballet training, performance, and community outreach in the southeast region. Lead by School Director, Ashleyanne Hensley, students ages 3 and up receive dance education from experienced ballet professionals from around the world. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a base of strong classical ballet technique with emphasis on placement, musicality, and artistry.

The School is comprised of four divisions: Primary Ballet Division, Recreational Division, Teen Division, and Pre-Professional Ballet Division.

Students ages 3-6 begin in the Primary Ballet Division where they learn the foundations of dance and creative movement. The Recreational Division is for students 7 through 18 looking to learn or continue their dance education in a fun and enjoyable environment without the stress of being in a pre-professional track.

Once a student reaches 10 years old they may audition to be in Pre-Professional Ballet Division. This is an accelerated program for committed dancers looking to pursue ballet seriously. Students in this division have classes 3-7 times a week based on skill level. Many of our students are accepted into elite summer programs around the world with scholarships and are recognized as top participants at regional competitions like Youth America Grand Prix.
