GAB’s Young Dancer Program:

Movement for Mommy and Me (Age 2) June 15-July 20 Friday 9:30 - 10:15 am (6 week session)

In this wonderful introductory class, parents join to dance along with their child. This class is specifically designed so that the parent can encourage the child with the movement. The Mommy and Me class includes stretching, rhythm exercises, traveling steps holding the parent’s hand, and of course, lots of fun!

PreBallet (Age 3-4) June 15-July 20 Friday 10:15 - 11:00 am (6 week session)
This class is the first step to your little one becoming a budding ballerina. Our PreBallet classes encourage the student to develop good posture, rhythm and coordination. Simple exercises help develop and stretch young muscles.

Drama Camp (rising 3rd graders through exiting 5th graders) July 23-27 from 10am-12 noon Mon-Fri
This exciting camp will focus on the final product: the performance! Campers will be involved in the preparation of all aspects of a play: sets, costumes, make-up and of course, performing! All participants will be cast in a one-act play that will be presented for family and friends on the last day. Campers should bring a pencil and paper each day, along with water and a light snack.

The Georgia Ballet, founded in 1960 by Iris Hensley, is dedicated to providing outstanding instruction in ballet and related dance styles in a professional, structured, yet nurturing environment. We believe that the pursuit of dance is unmatched in its benefits – aesthetic, physical, and mental. We also stress that a vigorous pursuit of excellence in dance is of great value, no matter what the student’s ultimate occupation.

The Georgia Ballet faculty is a small group of dedicated and enthusiastic dance professionals who work closely together within a carefully designed curriculum.
