Amber Runyan















Amber began her training at the Gainesville School of Ballet before joining the Gainesville Ballet Company under the direction of Diane Callahan. She then received a scholarship to the Pacific Northwest Ballet School where she had the privilege to train with renowned teachers such as Elaine Bauer, Bruce Wells, and Dane Holman. After her time at PNB, she went on to study at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in the Graduate Program where she performed in La Sylphide, Etudes, and Nutcracker. Upon completion of the Graduate Program, she joined the North Carolina Dance Theatre as a trainee and was able to work closely with Patricia McBride, Mark Diamond, and Kathryn Moriarty. She performed in Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux's  Nutcracker  and Sleeping Beauty, Balanchine's Serenade and Theme and Variations, as well as original works by Mark Diamond. Throughout her training, Amber has spent her summers with Pacific Northwest Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, North Carolina School of the Arts, and Alabama Ballet. When not dancing, she loves teaching ballet to students of all ages.
