Talina Rodriguez was born and raised in Ecuador and later moved to the US with her family in 2015 at the age of twelve. She began dancing at the age of three in her hometown of Guayaquil, Ecuador. In 2015 she became a student at The School of The Georgia Ballet and in 2018 she became a part of The Georgia Ballet Conservatory program. She was able to perform with The Georgia Ballet company as a student trainee 2016-2020. She graduated from The School of The Georgia Ballet in 2020. During her years as a student trainee she performed multiple ballets with the company including Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, La Fille Mal Gardée, Swan Lake, Carmen, Hayden, Les Sylphides, and The Nutcracker. During that time, she has performed numerous leading roles in the school recitals such as Diana and Acteon, Paquita, and Kitri; and in the company’s productions such as Tinker Bell and Clara. In 2018, Talina placed third place in the classical category and top 12 in the contemporary at the Youth America Grand Prix semi- finals and passed to the finals in New York. She also placed at the Youth America Grand Prix semi- finals in 2019 and 2020. Additionally, Talina has been offered scholarships and attended summer intensive programs with the Harid Conservatory and Milwaukee Ballet, and has been a part of the Joffrey Ballet Trainee Program in Chicago. She is very excited and thankful to be joining The Georgia Ballet this season as a company member.
