Katie Owerbach Mulnix
Ms. Mulnix grew up in Rochester, NY where she trained with the Draper Center for Dance Education, Botsford School of Dance, and the Rochester City Ballet. She moved to the Atlanta area after graduating Magna Cum Laude from The University of South Carolina with a degree in ballet performance and choreography and economics, with a minor in business. With the USC Dance Company she had the opportunity to perform many works by George Balanchine including Serenade, Who Cares?, Allegro Brilliante, Western Symphony, and Walspurgisnacht. In addition, she performed works by Twayla Tharp, Helen Pickett, Alan Hineline, and Thaddeus Davis. This is her 10th season with The Georgia Ballet, where she has enjoyed performing in many productions including in Serenade, Swirling Soiree, The Four Seasons, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Peter Pan, The Sleeping Beauty, Diana & Acteon, Carmen Suite, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Swan Lake. She has attended summer intensives with Hubbard Street, GloAtl, Ballet Hispanico, Orlando Ballet, The Nutmeg Conservatory of the Arts, and Rochester City Ballet. Ms. Mulnix also enjoys teaching various styles of dance at Roswell Performing Arts studio.
