Joan Sebastian Zamora
Native from Cali, Colombia, began dancing at the age of 8 in the Instituto Colombiano de Ballet (Incolballet) under the direction of Gloria Castro. From the age of 12 was awarded with full scholarships to participate at the Summer Intensive Programs at the American Ballet Theatre in New york, at 17 was awarded with scholarship to train with the Rock School For Dance Education in Philadelphia where participated in the International Ballet competition the Youth American Grand Prix (YAGP) where received the silver medal and Full Scholarship to study at the Royal Ballet School in London. and Finalist at the International Ballet Competition, Jackson (IBC), 2010, Joan Sebastian also takes part in the ballet documentary First Position.
After graduate with honors from the Royal Ballet Ballet School, 2013, Joan Sebastian began his professional career joining The English National Ballet from 2013 to 2015 where perform repertoire as Le Corsaire, Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, Swan lake and others from well known choreographers as Anna Marie Holmes, Wayne Eagling, Derek Dean, Akram Khan and more, also participated in the annual “Emerging Dancer” by 2015 accepted an offer to join the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago from 2015 to 2019 where perform a numerous repertoire from well known Choreographers as John Neumeir, Frederick Ashton, Justin Peck, Christopher Wheeldon, Yuri Possoknov, George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins and more.
