Founded in 1960 by Marietta native Iris Hensley, The Georgia Ballet is a non-profit organization committed to inspiring the public through professional ballet performance, unparalleled dance training and meaningful community outreach. We are thrilled to share an amazing opportunity to significantly enhance our beloved ballet company and school. Thanks to the incredible generosity of an anonymous donor, all funds donated by NEW donors towards much-needed building updates before August 1st will be matched dollar for dollar. This means your contribution will have twice the impact!
Our first goal is $5,000 by July 1.
The Challenge:
Our beautiful home is in urgent need of repairs and updates. We are facing issues such as leaky doors and windows, peeling paint, an outdated lobby, and a lack of essential spaces like a dancer lounge. Additionally, we need to improve our studio's functionality by improvign our Black Box Theater with pipe and drape and conducting air quality diagnostics.

We strive to bring quality, professional dance performances and training to people of all ages, skill levels, and economic statuses. As a nonprofit organization, it’s extremely important to have community support in funding our professional company, The School of The Georgia Ballet, and “Arts in Education” community outreach programs.
