About The Georgia Ballet
Founded in 1960 by Marietta native Iris Hensley, The Georgia Ballet is a non-profit organization committed to inspiring the public through professional ballet performance, unparalleled dance training and meaningful community outreach. We are continuously growing to meet the needs of the community while fulfilling our reputation as an outstanding arts organization.
Pre-Professional Division
Ages 9+ by audition only
Once a student reaches 9 years old they may audition to be in Pre-Professional Ballet Division. This is an accelerated program for committed dancers looking to pursue ballet seriously. Students in this division have classes 3-7 times a week based on skill level. Many of our students are accepted into elite summer programs around the world with scholarships, and are recognized as top participants at regional competitions like Youth America Grand Prix.
A Non-Refundable Registration Fee of $55 is due per family upon registration.
Pre-Professional C
Cost: $312.60/month
Pre-Professional C is to ensure the correct strength and alignment of the dancer is ready for the rigors of pointe work to ensue in the following level. Student may spend up to two years in this level if not qualified in age, development, maturity, body and feet for the demands of pointe work in Pre-Professional B level.

Pre-Professional B
Cost: $446.00/month
Pre-Professional B level demands of dancers to be ready in age, maturity, alignment, strength and responsibility of the classical ballet form in order to be successful for pointe work. Student ideally should spend only one year in Pre-Professional B for all necessary pointe work development. Body conditioning, pointe work, contemporary, jazz and repertoire are a part of the program offerings.

Pre-Professional A
Cost: $494.00/month
Pre-Professional A level dancers are continuing refinement and personal growth through more artistic and strength developing opportunities. A dancer may spend two years in this level before being promoted to a Conservatory dancer.

Conservatory Daytime Program
Intermediate to Advanced/Pre-Pro dancers (through audition only) study during daytime hours of 2:15-5:15pm with technique, pointe, repertoire, contemporary/modern, anatomy and body conditioning Mondays through Fridays (C3/4 also attend on Saturdays). Additional classes in the evening program are allotted as a part of the program allowing the serious student to be in the studio up to 6 days per week and up to 24 hours of technical training. Performance opportunities with the Professional Company are available along with adding the YAGP Training Program to their training through an audition process.
Class Schedule:
Monday through Friday 2:15-5:15pm for Levels 1-4 and Saturday 10-12:30pm for Levels 3-4
6 additional hours in the evening/Saturday classes are optional as a part of the Conservatory Program rate.
Uniform: Approved Lulli leotards: C1 in Patina Green with embroidery, C2 in Dark Green with embroidery; C3 in Teal with embroidery; C4 in Jade with embroidery. Mesh seamed tights: either Body Wrappers #A46 or Capezio C19 Pointe Pink and pink canvas ballet shoes.
Student Trainee
Upon completion of the Conservatory Program for 1 year a C3/4 dancer may be asked to be a part/full time Student Trainee. Student Trainees are in the studio up to 34.5 hours a week rehearsing with the Company and in their required School classes with the Conservatory level 3/4.
