Founded in 1960 by Marietta native Iris Hensley, The Georgia Ballet is a non-profit organization committed to inspiring the public through professional ballet performance, unparalleled dance training and meaningful community outreach. We are continuously growing to meet the needs of the community while fulfilling our reputation as an outstanding arts organization.



Kelsey Stanhope
Kelsey, a Marietta native, received her training from The British Academy of Performing Arts and The Georgia Ballet School. She attended summer intensives at Carolina Ballet, The Georgia Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, and Atlanta Ballet. Kelsey is entering her ninth season with The Georgia Ballet’s professional company. Kelsey has enjoyed performing principal and soloist roles. Her favorites include portraying Carmen, Bluebird from Sleeping Beauty, and Lise from La Fille Mal Gardee. Kelsey has also enjoyed performing with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on occasion. Kelsey would like to thank her family and friends for all their continuing support and encouragement.
