Pensacola, FL native, Monika began her training at the age of 3 in North Carolina. She has passed Cecchetti Grades 1-6 (or Advanced I syllabus) with high commendation (NC-GA). In Georgia, she has trained with Atlanta Professional Dance Academy (APDA) under the direction of Wei Dongsheng dancing the most notable roles of Myrtha (Giselle), Soloist (Paquita), Lead Russian (Serenade), and traveled to China to perform Jasmine Flower “Mo Li Hua”(a Chinese folk/pointe fusion) several times. She has graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kennesaw State University (KSU) with her BA in Dance and Minors in German Studies and Geography. Monika has performed with the KSU Dance Company for four semesters, working with Martha Goodman (Allegro Vivo), McCree O’Kelley (Ties that Bind; Pariah), and Jimmy Orrante (Onward). She has spent her summers training with the Cincinnati Ballet, The Georgia Ballet, Nashville Ballet, KSU Dance, and Oklahoma City Ballet. Monika has worked with Bobby Barnett, Paul Boos, Victoria Morgan, David Morse, Susan Jaffe, Kirk Peterson, Sabir Yapparov, Ogulcan Borova, Christine Welker (Winkler), Gay Porter, Mara Mandradjieff, Lisa Lock, Ivan Pulinkala, and Andrea Knowlton. In addition to performing, Monika also enjoys teaching and choreographing.
