About The Georgia Ballet
Founded in 1960 by Marietta native Iris Hensley, The Georgia Ballet is a non-profit organization committed to inspiring the public through professional ballet performance, unparalleled dance training and meaningful community outreach. We are continuously growing to meet the needs of the community while fulfilling our reputation as an outstanding arts organization.




Originally from Northern Virginia, Ms. Patterson received her early training from Northern Virginia Youth Ballet under the direction of Yuri and Jasmine Nikitenko. She attended summer programs with American Ballet Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet, Ballet West, and The Washington Ballet. Ms. Patterson spent 5 years at the University of Utah in the School of Dance's Ballet Program while receiving her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. While at the University of Utah, Ms. Patterson received training from many esteemed teachers including Maggie Wright Tesch, James Ady, Jan Fugit, Jay Kim, and Calvin Kitten. The ballet program gave her the opportunity to perform serenade and Walspurgisnaucht by George Balanchine as well as soloist roles in Raymonda and La Bayadere. Ms. Patterson joined The Georgia Ballet in 2018.
