About The Georgia Ballet
Founded in 1960 by Marietta native Iris Hensley, The Georgia Ballet is a non-profit organization committed to inspiring the public through professional ballet performance, unparalleled dance training and meaningful community outreach. We are continuously growing to meet the needs of the community while fulfilling our reputation as an outstanding arts organization.
Teen Division, Ages 13-18
The Recreational Division is for students 13 through 18 looking to learn or continue their dance education in an enjoyable environment without the time commitment of a full pre-professional program. Classes are offered for any skill level and in different disciplines.
A Non-Refundable Registration Fee of $55 is due per family upon registration.
Teen Ballet 1
Length: 1 Hour and 15 Minutes | $85.70/month
The class is the classical structure for the ballet environment to optimize a dancer’s learning and consistency and allows simple coordination, musicality, rhythm, and concentration to be emphasized.
Basic ballet vocabulary, technique, etiquette, stretches and strengthening, as well as barre work will be introduced.
Class Options:
Tuesdays at 7:15-8:30pm with Monika Eisenheim
Uniform:
Girls: Approved Lulli leotards in Burgundy with embroidery. Pink tights and pink leather or canvas ballet shoes.
Boys: White fitted shirt with black tights and white calf-height socks. White canvas shoes.
Teen Ballet 2
Length: 1 Hour and 15 Minutes | $85.70/month
Pre-Requisite: Teen Ballet 1 OR Audition.
The class is the classical structure for the ballet environment to optimize a dancer’s learning and consistency and allows simple coordination, musicality, rhythm, and concentration to be emphasized.

Teen Ballet 3
Length: 1 Hour 30 Minutes | $117.60/month
Monthly tuition increases if more than 1 class is taken.
3 Hours of Class: $159.36/month
3.5 Hours of Class: $176.82/month
4 Hours of Class: $192.00/month

Pre-Requisite: Placement Audition.
Teen 3 classes are for dancers with four or more years of training.
Classes are geared towards the intermediate/advanced to advanced ballet dancers needing to keep up their technique and physical condition while not committing to a strict pre-professional program of training. Ballet classes must be taken prior to pointe classes to ensure that the dancer is warm for safety reasons.
Performance options are sometimes available at this level and are determined by the School Director.
